The Side-Tooth Steam Seal is based on the labyrinth steam seal with no changes to its external shape or dimensions, and adds side teeth and bottom teeth into the labyrinth cavity. Through the flow-diverting and turbulence-inducing effects of these additional teeth, the kinetic energy of the steam passing through the labyrinth cavity is more effectively converted into thermal energy, thereby reducing the amount of leakage.
