At the conference, the HuaYuTong technical team delivered a presentation titled “Structural Innovation, Energy Saving and Efficiency Improvement — The Double-Tooth Turbulence Steam Seal,” showcasing the company’s patented achievements developed over many years. This product addresses the pain points of conventional steam seals, such as high leakage and low efficiency, achieving breakthroughs through three innovative designs:

01 Turbulence Holes and Double-Tooth Structure

Based on the conventional labyrinth steam seal, inclined turbulence teeth and turbulence holes are added. Through the vortex effect of airflow, energy dissipation is enhanced and steam leakage is reduced.

02 Blocking Effect Optimization

The unique flow field design reduces the leakage rate by 7.6%, significantly improving sealing efficiency.

03 Safety and Reliability

The material and installation process of the conventional steam seal are retained. After the retrofit, the unit’s one-time start-up success rate reaches 100%, with no risk of thermal deformation.

Technical Verification

Through ANSYS fluid simulation and on-site measurements at multiple power plants, under the same operating conditions, the leakage rate of the double-tooth turbulence steam seal is only 0.739 kg/s, demonstrating significant energy-saving and efficiency-improvement advantages over conventional products!

Real-World Case | The Choice of 600+ Power Plants Nationwide

HuaYuTong’s “Double-Tooth Turbulence Steam Seal” has been successfully applied in power plants under major groups such as Huaneng, Datang, and CHN Energy, covering mainstream unit capacities from 300MW to 600MW:

A Huaneng Power Plant: After high-pressure cylinder retrofit, the unit’s heat rate was significantly optimized, with annual standard coal savings exceeding 1,000 tons.

An SPIC Power Plant: After steam seal upgrade on a Dongfang Turbine 300MW unit, the high-pressure cylinder efficiency increased by more than 4%.

A CHN Energy Power Plant: A Harbin Turbine 600MW unit achieved safe operation exceeding 8,000 hours, receiving high recognition from the customer.
